Hi, I’m Jheanelle Bailey, a dual board-certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner and Family Nurse Practitioner with more than 17 years caring for people affected by cancer. My background spans pediatric and adult oncology, chemotherapy infusion, and inpatient and outpatient cancer care — so I understand the emotional weight a diagnosis can carry, for patients, survivors, caregivers, and families alike.

Supporting people through cancer is my passion, and I also care for adults navigating anxiety, depression, stress, grief, and life transitions. My approach is compassionate and evidence-based — including medication management and brief therapy — in a judgment-free space where you feel heard, understood, and genuinely supported.

I'm a board certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner with experience in the mental health psychiatric field ranging from child and adult outpatient care to substance abuse treatment. I received my Bachelor of Science in Nursing at Ohio University and Master of Science in Psychiatry from St, Thomas University in Miami, FL.

I graduated from The Ohio State University with my DNP in 2020 focusing on efficient pathways to implement depression screening post-stroke to identify mental health needs. After working a couple years as a nurse practitioner within neurosurgery, I transitioned from Ohio to Florida and pursued my PMHNP certification from Florida State University. Over the past 5 years I have been treating psychiatric needs in LTC around Florida. I am currently working to expand into independent practice and work personally with individuals creating a therapeutic relationship and enhancing their mental health.

I specialize in mood disorders (including depression and bipolar disorder), anxiety (generalized anxiety disorder, panic disorder, and social anxiety), and trauma-related conditions including PTSD. I am deeply committed to breaking the stigma surrounding mental health — and I understand firsthand how shame and silence can stand in the way of healing and daily functioning. Outside of work, I'm a parent who enjoys going to the pool and playing board games with my children, which keeps me grounded in the everyday joys that matter most.
