She started her career as a registered nurse on a progressive coronary unit at age of 21, where she learned mental health is at the core of healing. She obtained her masters degree in 2010, specializing in psychiatric care. She has worked many diverse areas: community, inpatient, crisis, dual diagnosis, detox, emergency room; from children to geriatic and dementia related behaviors. Her passion is to lesson the stigma associated with mental health across the lifespan and normalize a bad day. When she is not serving her community, she enjoys time with her husband and 2 young children; the youngest a heart transplant warrior and indulging in a decadent cupcake.

Hi, I’m Jheanelle Bailey, a dual board-certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner and Family Nurse Practitioner with more than 17 years caring for people affected by cancer. My background spans pediatric and adult oncology, chemotherapy infusion, and inpatient and outpatient cancer care — so I understand the emotional weight a diagnosis can carry, for patients, survivors, caregivers, and families alike.

Supporting people through cancer is my passion, and I also care for adults navigating anxiety, depression, stress, grief, and life transitions. My approach is compassionate and evidence-based — including medication management and brief therapy — in a judgment-free space where you feel heard, understood, and genuinely supported.

I'm a board certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner with experience in the mental health psychiatric field ranging from child and adult outpatient care to substance abuse treatment. I received my Bachelor of Science in Nursing at Ohio University and Master of Science in Psychiatry from St, Thomas University in Miami, FL.

I graduated from The Ohio State University with my DNP in 2020 focusing on efficient pathways to implement depression screening post-stroke to identify mental health needs. After working a couple years as a nurse practitioner within neurosurgery, I transitioned from Ohio to Florida and pursued my PMHNP certification from Florida State University. Over the past 5 years I have been treating psychiatric needs in LTC around Florida. I am currently working to expand into independent practice and work personally with individuals creating a therapeutic relationship and enhancing their mental health.
