Hi, I’m Kristen, a Licensed Mental Health Counselor with a master’s degree in Mental Health Counseling and nearly 10 years of experience in the mental health field. I work with adults navigating anxiety, trauma, relationship difficulties, addiction and substance-use-related concerns, stress, and major life transitions. My perspective is also shaped by seven years of living and working abroad, which has helped me develop a culturally sensitive and open-minded approach to supporting people from diverse backgrounds.
I have 12 years’ experience counseling all backgrounds and ages including men, women, mothers, professionals, veterans, and teens who have dealt with anxiety, depression, addiction, family and career issues, etc. My clients often tell me that I have a unique way of explaining ideas and perspectives to them that makes it easy for them to understand and apply.
Licensed Mental Health Counselor with over 10 years of experience working with individuals and families within complex systems, including corrections, probation, and child welfare, and 2+ years of clinical counseling experience providing therapy to children, adolescents, young adults, and mature adults.
Provides trauma-informed, culturally responsive counseling for clients experiencing emotional, behavioral, and life stressors. Clinical work emphasizes emotional regulation, trauma recovery, emotional dysregulation, and practical coping strategies that help clients improve functioning at home, school, and work.
I believe meaningful change often begins in moments of conflict or discomfort. I help clients approach these experiences with curiosity and recognize them as opportunities for growth. I provide a thoughtful, steady space where you can move at your own pace while being gently challenged to explore the patterns and beliefs that may be holding you back.
I’m Dr. Myriam Glémaud, a Licensed Psychologist with nearly 20 years of experience helping people manage stress, heal from trauma, and build stronger connections. The goal of therapy is to help you reach your highest potential while feeling happier.
I want you to know that my role is to support you with compassion, respect, and evidence‐based care. I take the time to listen closely so I can understand what you’re experiencing and what matters most to you. My approach is collaborative—I believe treatment works best when we make decisions together. I’m here to provide a safe, nonjudgmental space where you can speak openly and feel heard. My goal is to help you move toward stability, confidence, and a better quality of life.
My intention is to provide a judgment-free space where we can talk about what is going on and collaborate to move forwards in the best way possible. I am flexible in my approach to counseling, and I tailor my counseling style based on the needs of each person I work with. I enjoy working with a wide range of clients (age, gender, concerns, etc.) and I am passionate about what I do. I am into fitness and healthy lifestyle, and I support my clients with creating their own foundation of wellness.
Becoming a licensed clinical social worker has always been a career goal. Growing up, I constantly advocated for vulnerable populations and had a deep understanding of people’s emotions. As the oldest child and daughter, understanding family dynamics, worldviews, and individual experiences came naturally. In my career, I’ve provided psychotherapy to court-ordered parents working to reunite with their children, teens in a school setting as a behavioral health therapist, and millennial individuals as a primary therapist. As a first-generation college graduate, an entrepreneur, and a businesswoman, I also understand the challenges that come with starting something from scratch and learning as you go. Sometimes, you need to speak with a relatable yet unbiased party to process your thoughts and feelings about everyday stressors that you may not feel comfortable sharing openly. I use evidence-based practices and unconventional interventions to reach clients where they are.
