Congratulations on your courageous decision to seek help! Self-awareness is the first step to change and I go above and beyond to help those like you who choose to actively help themselves. Understand that the path to self-discovery and growth is not easy. It involves commitment, personal investment, and a desire to delve into the process of growth, healing, and self-love.
Thank you for taking the courageous step to reach out for help. I would be honored to work along side you on your journey towards personal growth and empowerment. I have over 28 years of experience in working in mental health. My experience includes private practice, Equine-Assisted Psychotherapy, nonprofit, domestic violence, and substance abuse. I also spent 21 years in public education as a teacher, school counselor, and therapeutic counselor.
Something uncomfortable brought you here. You may have tried to move forward and found that something still lingers. You understand what’s going on, but it hasn’t shifted in a meaningful way. My clients come ready to do real work. I meet each person as a whole person, not as a diagnosis or as a presenting problem. I work primarily with adults and young adults, using EMDR alongside CBT and solution-focused and person-centered approaches that support real change. Our focus is on what hasn’t moved and why, so you’re not just managing symptoms but creating genuine, lasting movement forward. If you have done the talking and still do not feel free, I would love to connect.
It can be a struggle to keep it all together. Family or relationship conflicts, LGBTQ+ related issues, self-esteem, painful memories that you can't shake, or maybe just needing someone to talk to about things you can't imagine talking to anyone about. You're not alone. It's been a really difficult couple of years. I will help you explore in a safe and accepting space so that you can start to feel good again.
Imagine feeling more relief and alleviating the anxiety and fear that have become overwhelming. Together, we can lift painful thoughts and help you to gain tools and understandings that bring the light in again.
In working with me, you can have access to an approachable therapist that uses evidenced-based tools, but woven into a safe therapeutic relationship. I look forward to working together.
I have my Master of Social Work from New York University and have worked in Social Services and Behavioral Healthcare for more than 26 years between New York City and Philadelphia. Healing begins in a space where you feel safe, heard, and understood. As a Licensed Mental Health Counselor, I am committed to creating a supportive, collaborative environment where you can explore your experiences without judgment while gaining the tools and confidence to move toward lasting change. My approach is grounded in authenticity, compassion, and respect. I believe therapy is not just about processing life's challenges but also about discovering your strengths, building resilience, and creating meaningful change that extends beyond our sessions.
As a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with extensive experience in medical and behavioral health setting, I specialize in helping adults address depression, anxiety, chronic health conditions, adjustment disorders, and life transitions. This background has equipped me with a comprehensive understanding of the relationship between physical health, mental health, and overall functioning, allowing me to provide practical, evidenced-based care tailored to each clients unique needs.
One of the most empowering factors in my life has been spending 32 years as an Air Force Military Spouse. This empowered me to grow and learn through lived experiences in diverse groups. I’ve been a clinical social worker and prior substance abuse counselor for 30+ years working in a public agency, private practice, and with the US Army at Fort Carson, Colorado and at SHAPE, Belgium. I work across all ages to include both adults and children. In addition to my MSW in clinical social worker, I have an advanced graduate degree in Infant and Early Childhood Special Education Leadership and a doctorate degree in Curriculum and Diversity Studies.
