As a zillennial (member of both Millennials and Gen Z) Black woman, I love working with women and nonbinary femmes ages 18+. I know too well the pressures that come with being high-achieving, having marginalized identities, and simply existing in our bodies as people of color. Though each client has unique goals for their therapy journey, I believe that everyone deserves at least one space where they can fully be themselves. I feel most alive when working with clients who hold these identities and are navigating issues of anxiety, self-esteem, Gifted Kid Burnout, relationship challenges, or stress.
As a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with over 25 years experience in leadership and direct care positions in behavioral health and substance abuse facilities, I remain dedicated to helping individuals respond to and cope with the challenges of life. I have frequently witnessed, and believe, recovery is possible and I appreciate the opportuity to assist you in finding the hope, joy and happiness you deserve.

Making that first call for therapy can feel overwhelming. If you’re here, you’re likely carrying something heavy, and you’re looking for someone who can sit in that space with you without judgment or pressure. I understand that, and I honor the courage it takes to reach out.
As a therapist, I believe healing happens within a relationship built on shared humanity—not a hierarchy. One of my favorite reminders comes from Brené Brown: “Compassion becomes real when we recognize our shared humanity.” I am not the healer and you are not the wounded. We are equals doing hard, meaningful work together.
Everyone needs help sometimes, not because they are broken, but because life can become too heavy to sort through alone. I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker who believes every person should have access to support that helps them rise to new challenges, cope with loss, manage the ups and downs of mood, and better understand who they are. I work with adults navigating grief and loss, anxiety, depression, stress, mood changes, life transitions, relationship issues, PTSD, trauma and the feeling of being stuck or disconnected from themselves. My goal is to provide a safe, nonjudgmental space where you can feel supported while we make sense of what you are carrying and create a path toward living your best life.
My therapeutic style is to ask a lot of questions and really try to find the answers to what is bothering you. In our sessions, you will cry, laugh, talk excessively or talk a little. Our sessions will be all about you and what you need in the moment. I want our sessions to be a safe place for you to be comfortable. Bring your treats and your tissues. Bring your patience and your strength. We will be together and I will support you when you are feeling weak. Usually, I see what makes you special first. You will need to tell me what is wrong.
Are you looking for a therapist who understands your culture and speaks your language? I can help. I am fluent in Spanish, Polish, Brazilian Portuguese, French, and German.
I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and Certified Alcohol and Other Drug Abuse Counselor with 40 years of clinical experience. I work with adults, children, and adolescents, and I value each person’s cultural background, identity, and lived experience.

Maybe family challenges or past experiences are affecting your relationships, your confidence, or your ability to feel like yourself. When everything feels heavy or uncertain, it can be hard to know where to start. You don’t have to figure it out alone — therapy can be a place where you feel supported, understood, and able to finally exhale.

I've spent 12 years as a licensed counselor in Chicago working with people of all ages, from young children to seniors. What keeps me in this work is the moment a client realizes they've been surviving something hard, and that there's a different way forward.
I have a particular passion for working with mothers navigating postpartum struggles, families dealing with grief and loss, and adults working through trauma and PTSD. Many of my clients were looking for someone who would be real with them, not just professional. That's what you'll find here.
