I have experience working with adolescents (with their parents) adults and families have experienced significant levels of trauma and are challenged with emotional regulation and managing everyday relationships. I use cognitive behavior therapy and mindfulness techniques as my specialty in sessions.
I have been a psychotherapist in private practice for about forty years. After receiving my MSW, I felt I needed additional training to work effectively with clients. I studied psychoanalysis for three years, and I received a certificate in psychoanalytic oriented psychotherapy. It was extremely helpful because of the intensive supervision I received.

My focus is on combining clinical expertise with a practical, compassionate approach to help patients feel understood and supported in their treatment.
I work with children, parents, and couples, helping families navigate life's challenges, strengthen relationships, and develop healthier patterns of communication and connection. Psychoanalytic therapy offers a different kind of conversation. It’s a space where you can speak freely, without needing to organize your thoughts in advance, and where what you say is taken seriously. Often, thoughts and feelings that haven’t been spoken—even to yourself—begin to take shape. Something that has been unclear or just out of reach can gradually come into view. Over time, patterns emerge, and what once felt fixed can begin to loosen.
